Cob Gallery

POSTCARD PROJECT

The Cob Gallery has launched a new charity, Cobble Together For The Arts, that will tackle inequality both in the arts and through the arts by providing education, employment and community projects for young people in London.

The ambitious first project for Cobble is a series of three films, starring BAFTA nominee Ruth Wilson. The film installation 'Eleanor', examines companionship and loneliness in a city like London. The films, directed by Tobias Ross-Southall and Alex Warren, follow three pieces of new writing by some of the UK’s finest young playwrights, Polly Stenham, Michael Leslie and Anya Reiss.

To run alongside the film’s exhibition in The Cob Gallery, and to celebrate the gallery’s three year anniversary, Cob associated artists were asked to respond to the initial stimuli for the project, three poems: If I Could Tell You, by W H Auden, The Faithless Wife by Leonard Cohen and Acquainted With The Night by Robert Frost.

All works in the postcard series are 1/1 and A6.
